The myths say that light entered the world in the form of a sacred heron-like bird. The Greeks called the bird PHOENIX; the Egyptians called it Benu, which means, "to rise in brilliance". The Phoenix represents rebirth, harboring of good fortune and a strong symbol for growth and change.
